Larry Chang is a Taiwanese composer and audio designer based in New York City, with over a decade of experience in multimedia, film, theater, and interactive entertainment. His career began in 2011, and his original score for the feature film Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast earned a nomination for Best Original Film Score at the prestigious 50th Golden Horse Awards. The film became a domestic hit, grossing $9.8 million and ranking as the sixth-highest-grossing movie in Taiwan.
Holding a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center, Larry specializes in creating immersive audio for both games and virtual reality (VR). He contributed to the acclaimed interactive VR narrative The Price of Freedom, which was showcased at the 2017 Sundance and Cinequest Film Festivals and received multiple honors, including a Vision Summit nomination for Best Cinematic VR. His earlier achievements include winning the Microsoft GameOn Contest and Gold at the International Serious Play Awards in 2015.
Larry’s expertise extends beyond production, as he serves as a visiting lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University, sharing his insights into audio design for VR and interactive music at events like GameSound Con, AWE, and more. His work on the global sensation Beyond Van Gogh solidified his reputation, contributing to an exhibition that has sold over 7 million tickets and generated $210 million in revenue across more than 60 markets throughout the Americas.
